Mirarr Rock Art Poster Series
The Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation and the Kunwinjku Language
Project from the Kakadu / West Arnhem region of the Northern Territory
are proud to announce the launch of a new rock art poster series
celebrating this colourful and vibrant aspect of the region's Indigenous
cultural heritage.
The posters, in Gundjeihmi and English, feature the relationship the
Mirarr Aboriginal people have with these ancient artworks and
demonstrate the vitality of the world's oldest continuing culture. The
photographs were taken on the Jabiluka Mineral Lease by Dominic O'Brien
and the project was coordinated by linguist Dr. Murray Garde.
The posters are for sale and may be ordered from either the
Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Coporation or its wholly owned local retail store,
It's Kakadu.
