Man Me & Meander

In May this year Marrawuddi Gallery held its first outdoor exhibition: Man Me & Meander, along the 2km walk of the Bowali Track. The night kicked off Kakadu’s Food Week and was a collaboration between Marrawuddi,  Kakadu National Park and Children’s Ground. The exhibition opened just before sunset as the full moon rose and took participators on a journey through the Kakadu bush.  Walking along the faux candle-lit track listening to the sounds of artists playing Molay (Didgeridoo), and tasting local Kakadu Tiny Tot’s Ice Tea along the way. The artworks were hung on trees that had been painted up with ochre and displayed varying interpretations of Man Me (bush food). The experience concluded  at the Mecure Crocodile Hotel where local Bininj collaborated in singing and dancing amongst a Dilly Bag installation and the Children’s Ground small canvas representations of Man Me collection.
